Chinese American Librarians Association Northeast Chapter was established in 1978. It serves Northeast Chapter's members from eight states: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont. A majority of its current members are from New York and New Jersey.
In the past, this Chapter held an annual spring program featuring a speaker with a topic of interest, and was followed by membership meeting and a dinner. In 1999, three programs have taken place to strengthen the friendship among its members and promote our goal. This change has been highly praised.
