Southeast Chapter Officers

President

Hanrong Wang,  Associate Professor, Law/Technology Librarian, Houston Cole Library, Jacksonville State University, Jacksonville, Alabama. She received two degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi: a Master of Library and Information Science and a Master of Education. She also holds a B.A. degree from Huazhong Normal University in Wuhan China. As a life member of CALA, Hanrong focuses her researches on library reference services, collection analysis, and library support for distance education, which resulted publications in several journals and books. Library public service trend in academic and public libraries in China is also one of her major concerns.

Vice President

Lili Li is the E-Information Services Librarian at Georgia Southern University. He received his MLS degree from University of Southern Mississippi and a master's degree in Management of Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University. In his current position at Georgia Southern University, he is playing his leading role of promoting academic library web-based information resources, services, and instructions, including distance learning and virtual reference services for the university library information commons. His research interests range from e-information, e-learning, information literacy, instructional technology, life-long learning, and web-based academic library information technology. He has published and presented his papers at different state, regional and international conferences.

Treasurer

Li Zhang is a Reference/Web Services Librarian at Mississippi State University (MSU). She holds Master's degrees in Instructional Technology and Library and Information Science. Her information professional experience started out at the MSU libraries, where she participates in the activities of the Reference Department, teaches course-related library instruction classes, coordinate web projects related to the Reference Department, and assists her colleagues in creating online resources that will address the needs of both patrons and the department.

Membership Officer

Ying Zhang, Acquisitions Librarian at the University of Central Florida Libraries. Prior to taking this technical services position several months ago, Ying has 10 years experience in public services, running a fee-based unit UCF InfoSource and working as a business librarian in the Reference Dept at the UCF Libraries. Education: MLIS, MIS & MBA, as well as a master's in Religious Studies. Offices Held In CALA and Other Organizations: CALA life member and one of the founding members of the CALA Florida Chapter. She held several chapter officer positions throughout years. During 2004 ALA, as the FL Chapter President, Ying chaired the Local Arrangement Committee for CALA Annual Program in Orlando, FL. CALA Member Since 1996 and a life member.
