Dear CALA members:
CALA International Relations Committee is pleased to announce another event in the CALA 21st Century Librarian Seminar Series: Seminar in Wuhan in late of October 2008 (exact date will be informed soon).
Many thanks to the CALA 21st Century Seminar Task Force (Guoqing Li, Haipeng Li, and Xudong Jin) for their hard work and creating many international collaboration opportunities for CALA members.
For this event, according to the agreement with Wuhan, CALA is sending a maximum of 5 experienced speakers.
The sponsors for this coming event are: Wuhan University Library, The School of Information Management of Wuhan University, and the Chinese American Librarians Association.
The focus of the seminar will be but not limited on the academic library’s management, services, collection development in the network environment; practices on services and instructions provided to users; evaluations of the library services, and library cooperation and information sharing.
CALA members who are interested in participating this event, please use the application form to apply. Application should be sent to CALA International Relations Committee chairs:

The deadline for application is May 2, 2008. The selection result will be announced in June 20, 2008.
